CMCO In Kuching, Sarawak Starting 9 November To 22 November 2020

The Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) will be implemented in Kuching, Sarawak starting from 9 November to 22 November 2020 for 14 days.

According to Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, the chairperson of the Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee, the decision was made after evaluation of the Covid-19 situation in Kuching. The daily increase in Covid-19 positive cases of the district for the last 14 days were also taken into consideration.

“Inter-district travel within the state is allowed except entering and leaving Kuching district. The standard operating procedures (SOPs) will be issued on Nov 8,” he said, according to BERNAMA.

He also added in the daily Covid-19 news conference that inter-state travel from the peninsula, Sabah, and Labuan is not allowed except for those with permission from the Royal Malaysia Police.

Meanwhile, all states in Semenanjung Malaysia except Perlis, Kelantan, and Pahang will undergo Conditional MCO as well starting 9 November to 6 December 2020.

Please strictly adhere to the government’s SOPs and stay at home if necessary to combat the deadly Covid-19 coronavirus.
