Budget 2021: Government Will Be Channeling RM24 Million Into Mental Health Programs

Tengku Zafrul Tengku Aziz, our Finance minister has taken to parliament to present the 2021 Budget today.

In the live broadcast, he has said that ever since the pandemic has hit our country, many citizens were mentally affected by it. It could be in terms of depression, anxiety and other mental health problems. In fact, from March to October, the Psychological Support Helpline has received more than 35,000 calls.

In order to help more individuals, the government will be giving out RM24,000,000 to the Mental Health, Prevention of Aggression & Injuries along with Misuse of Substances program.
