Bring Me The Horizon Blows 13,000 Fans Away with Blazing Return to M’sia, Alongside BABYMETAL!

Touring throughout the year for their recent album, ‘POST HUMAN: NeX GEn’, the iconic British metalcore band Bring Me The Horizon returned to Malaysia after 11 years, joined by Japanese kawaii metal band BABYMETAL. The concert, organised by one of Malaysia’s leading concert promoters, Hitman Solutions, was a powerhouse rock show held at Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon on 21st August 2024.

As Hitman Solutions’ third international rock concert of the year, it’s evident that fans of the genre are keeping the momentum alive. ‘Bring Me The Horizon Live Featuring BABYMETAL’ drew a massive crowd of 13,000 to the nation’s largest surf pool.

The concert was a whirlwind of non-stop energy, with kawaii metal phenomenon BABYMETAL from Japan kicking off the night with an hour of headbangers that thrilled Malaysian fans, who were ecstatic to see them live again after their last show a year ago. With standout tracks like ‘Gimme Chocolate!!,’ ‘Megitsune,’‘RATATA,’ and more, the metal girl group delivered exactly what alt-rock enthusiasts were craving, setting the stage ablaze for the Sheffield rockers.

Bring Me The Horizon were met with a roaring crowd that had been eagerly awaiting their set. Their performance lasted over 2 hours, with the crowd going crazy as they paid homage to classic hits like ‘Can You Feel My Heart?’, ‘Drown’, and ‘Kingslayer’, while also introducing new tracks from their latest album—a dynamic blend of sounds that highlight the band’s evolution.

Their newest studio album, ‘POST HUMAN: NeX GEn’, released in May 2024, is a follow-up to ‘Post Human: Survival Horror’. Heavily featured during the concert, it showcased their current hyperpop and metal-electronica influences, marking the start of their curated ‘YOUtopia’ journey. The entire evening was a remarkable fusion of rock excellence from the United Kingdom and Japan.

On the latest concert, Rohit Rampal, CEO & Founder of Hitman Group, expressed, “We saw the traction Bring Me The Horizon was gaining after their tour announcement and how many comments were coming from fellow Malaysians, and we just knew we had to bring them here for all the metal enthusiasts.

“Bringing together the British titans, Bring Me The Horizon, and Japan’s BABYMETAL on one stage was a dream for fans worldwide. The concert not only delivered an unforgettable experience for local metalheads but also received immense support from neighbouring countries. Fans from Indonesia and Singapore flocked to join the rock spectacle, proving that music truly transcends borders. This incredible turnout has further solidified Malaysia’s
position as a premier musical and cultural hub for large-scale events.
