BREAKING: PM’s Announcement Will Be on 11 January, Says Defence Minister

In his press conference today (8 January), Defence Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri said that the government has heard the worries of Malaysians regarding the increasing number of Covid-19 cases, including the record-high 3,027 positive cases yesterday.

Due to this, he announced that the Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is considering stricter SOPs in social sectors and will be making a special announcement regarding this issue in the nearest time.

Meanwhile, he advised Malaysians to stay vigilant and maintain their hygiene levels including washing their hands at all times. Later in the press conference, the minister said that the Prime Minister’s announcement will be on Monday,11 January 2021.
