Bersatu Deputy President Ahmad Faizal Azumu has been on the warpath following Anwar Ibrahim’s candidacy by his party to contest in the Tambun parliamentary seat for the 15th General Election (GE15).
Hitting out first, at PKR president, asking Anwar to clarify his stand on Israel, and teaching him how to speak the local dialect, Faizal Azumu made headlines again after disregarding PKR’s presence in Perak, stating that PKR’s candidates do not pose any serious threat or concern to Perikatan Nasional.
“Though PKR regards candidates named by the party to contest in Perak as ‘heavyweights’, to us they are just ordinary names and we are confident of our candidates who are prominent leaders in the Perak PN.”
“Our candidates are by no means inferior to them (PKR). We will soon release a manifesto for the people of Perak, especially for the GE15 and state assembly.”

PKR announced several names which includes Nik Omar Nik Abdul Aziz, who will be contesting in Pasir Salak and Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, contesting in Bagan Datuk.
As thing stand, the former Menteri Besar will face Anwar Ibrahim in Tambun, which Faizal Azumu won as a Pakatan Harapan candidate in GE14.
