If you think A&W’s cheeseburger is cheesy, then you should definitely check out how cheesy their comments can get.
In conjunction with the fasting month, A&W Malaysia posted a picture of their signature root beer on Twitter, urging Malaysians to quench their thirst at A&W restaurants when breaking fast.
However, a netizen known as Tatty Hassan, who appeared to have gastric complications, told A&W that breaking fast with such an acidic, carbonated beverage will only make her gastric worse. Instead of asking Tatty to take care of her health, A&W cheekily replied with a rather cheesy pick up line.
“I purposely want to make you sick, so that I can be there to take care of you,” A&W tweeted.
While such cheesy line would work on some ladies, Tatty wasn’t amused by it, not even one bit. She then replied, “How could you make me sick just for the sake of your happiness?”
A&W then got philosophical and possibly a bit too jiwang, and said:
“Love is never easy. But if that’s the only way for us to be together, I will take my chances.”
Despite all the effort A&W has put in, Tatty wasn’t moved at all. She replied:
“As hard as our love could be, it’d be harder on my stomach if I drink carbonated drinks when breaking fast. I’m sorry, you’re just too gassy for me.”
Seeing how A&W got rejected, netizens decided to lend their shoulders for the poor fella to cry on. Ouch, didn’t even make it into the friend zone!
“Even A&W got rejected. Stay strong brother, I’m here for you!” a netizen said.
“Her heart now belongs to her boyfriend. Please try again on other people, A&W,” another netizen commented.
Don’t give up A&W, give us a glass of root beer and we’ll root for you! Geddit geddit?
