Tun M may have retired from politics following his major defeat in Langkawi during GE15 last year, but he still has a lot to say about the past and present condition of politics.

Just recently, Tun M appeared on Khairy Jamaluddin’s podcast – Keluar Sekejap, and he shared a lot of his takes on the current leaders and politics. One of the people Tun M mentioned in the podcast was the jailed former Prime Minister (PM), Najib Razak. Let’s just say, he didn’t speak fondly of the former PM who is currently serving his 12-year prison sentence.

“It’s all Najib’s fault”

Remember when people used to blame Najib when the price of goods increased in the past? This time, Tun M pointed his finger and blamed Najib for causing many Malaysians to rely on the government for financial aid.

“It’s like people are asking for charity from the government, and Najib is the cause of that.”

Tun M expressed his sadness about finding out that Najib is nowhere near like his late father – Tun Abdul Razak.

“I found out that he was playing with money, the 1MDB case, corruption and so on.”

“Malu apa, Bossku?”

In the meantime, Tun M regretfully told KJ that Najib, as a former leader of Malaysia, has set a lot of bad examples for the people, such as being shameless when doing bad things.

“Najib would say, ‘What’s there to shame about, bossku?”

He added, “Najib ruined the Malays’ culture and the country’s economy. I couldn’t accept that.”

Tun M also took the opportunity to express his gratitude for Najib’s late father and said that without him, he wouldn’t be where he is today. Najib’s cases, however, caused Tun M to be disappointed and stop supporting him. You can watch the full podcast below.

Fellow Malaysians, do you agree with what Tun M had to say about the jailed Najib Razak? Do we really rely on the government’s aid too much?
