Just days after a 15-year-old girl was found dead following her disappearance after she had left her home in Cheras, another teenage girl has now gone missing in KL.
Netizen, Strawberry Yan, took to her Facebook page to call for assistance in locating the girl after she had left her home on Saturday (January 4) to go to a friend’s house and had not heard from since.
Strawberry Yan wrote, “Liew Zi Xing, 14 years old, ran away from home on the night of January 4 at 5am. She sent a message to her brother saying that she went to school to learn dancing and then went to a friend’s house. She has been missing for 4 days and no one answered her phone.”
“A police report has already been made but there is no news. I hope the public can help. If you know her whereabouts, please call her family member, Disney, at 011-1623 7233 immediately.”
According to the police report shared in Strawberry Yan’s post, the girl’s mother had attempted to contact her multiple times since her disappearance but to no avail.
However, she was later blocked by her daughter’s WhatsApp account after apparently scolding the girl via the messaging platform for not returning home, leading the girl’s mother to only be able to attempt phone calls to her daughter.
We genuinely hope that the girl is found to be safe and sound, and is returned to her family as soon as possible.
