Malaysian food undoubtedly stands out as the best! The rich use of endless herbs and spices in Malaysian cuisine enhances the flavors. However, we’re not the only ones who think so.
Netizens are buzzing with excitement over a recent viral TikTok from @mainavsfood, an account run by a man based in London.
The video has been circulating on the internet and has garnered attention from many due to the man’s positive comments about Malaysian food.
In the video, he recounts how he came across another video featuring a girl staying in London who visited a Malaysian restaurant, describing it as “the most authentic Malaysian restaurant in London”.
Intrigued by the recommendation, he decided to personally visit the restaurant and give it a try.
“I’m not going to lie, I’m not Malaysian, so I won’t say much. However, from the looks of it, I’ll let you guys be the judge.”
The man set out on a quest for nasi lemak, but unfortunately, upon reaching the restaurant, they didn’t have it. Undeterred, he made a bold decision to order roti canai with a side of beef rendang and complimentary hot tea instead.
After finishing his meal, he proceeded to share his thoughts on it, stating that,
“The beef rendang has an amazing herbal taste.”
Not only did he give the meal a 10/10, but he also expressed that Malaysian people have become some of his favorites.
“I feel like Malaysian people have to be one of my favorites. The elderly lady who was working there was conversing with me the entire time and she just kept me smiling.”
Netizens were so amused that they started flooding the comment section.
“This is the first time I’ve heard someone outside of Malaysia pronounce roti canai correctly and not as ‘roti kanai’.”
