Despite major criticisms, our self-declared Malaysia’s No. 1 singer is still going strong and it has not deterred his will to produce more songs and content. We guess the key is always to have confidence.
After claiming his voice to be on par with the late pop singer Michael Jackson, Aliff Syukri now has a request to the Malaysian media. Let’s just say, he really wants the spirit of his Raya song to spread throughout the festive season.
“I’m gonna make it compulsory for you guys to…”
In his Instagram post last night (April 12), Aliff said that he wants all TV and radio stations in Malaysia to play his latest Raya song, Chuk Ku Chuk Raya. Like a discipline teacher in a school, Aliff said it’s compulsory for the media to do so.
“I’m gonna make it compulsory for you guys to play Chuk Chu Raya. Please be fair to me and all the singers out there.”
Aliff also said that his song is currently the #1 trending on YouTube, making it even more sensible for the media in Malaysia to play his song.
“There’s no doubt that I’m the country’s No. 1 singer.”
At the time of writing, Chuk Ku Chuk Raya stands at the 6th spot in the trending category.
In the IG post, Aliff questioned why the media has never played his song and he actually begged them to do so.
“I took so much of effort to sing, why are you guys not playing my song? Please! I’m begging you!”
What do Malaysians think? Do they want it?
Going through the comment sections on his post, it’s safe to say that most Malaysians are fine if Chuk Ku Chuk Raya doesn’t make it to the public broadcast.
“I beg the radio and tv stations, please don’t play his songs. Don’t ruin my Raya mood.”
“Aren’t you rich? Make your own radio stations and repeat your songs, until the next Raya. Am I smart enough, Dato?”
“Sorry to tell you but if the radio stations play your song, your voice will reach the satellite, which is near the moon. When the moon hear your voice, it’ll sulk and it’s not coming out for Raya, prolonging the Ramadhan for 45 days. I don’t want to fast that long.”
The music video for Chuk Ku Chuk Raya is now available on YouTube. Fellow DJs and those who work in the broadcasting line, are you up for Aliff’s request?
