Air Selangor confirms that there has been a water disruption in seven regions in the Klang Valley, namely Kuala Lumpur, Petaling, Klang/Shah Alam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Gombak and Kuala Langat starting 10am this morning (3 September).

This comes after the Rantau Panjang River Water Treatment Plant (LRA) was suspended at 7.15am while LRA Phase 1 (SSP1), Phase 2 (SSP2), Phase 3 (SSP3) also had to stop work at 9.00 this morning. This is due to odour pollution detected at the raw water source in Sungai Selangor.

As a result, unscheduled water disruptions are expected to occur in the seven regions previously mentioned.

The full list of affected areas will be announced from time to time through all Air Selangor communication mediums including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and the Air Selangor application or through their website at www.airselangor.com.

Air Selangor together with the Selangor Water Management Board (LUAS) is taking swift action to overcome this pollution incident immediately. Consumers are advised to use water sparingly.
