Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the exact cause of the victims’ deaths is being identified.

Many volunteers and independent rescuers who selflessly put others first before their own safety are truly heroes. Many have come from near and far to these affected areas to save lives. Let’s all take this as a reminder to appreciate their sacrifices and efforts to save us Malaysians.

To all volunteers and rescuers, thank you.

Our condolences and thoughts go out to the victims’ families.
