Results of the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2022 examination were announced yesterday, ending an anxious wait by students nationwide.

Of course, it was an anxious wait for the parents of these students too! One of these parents was actually Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek whose eldest child was among the SPM 2022 candidates.

Taking to Facebook, Fadhlina shared how proud she is of her daughter after she scored 9As in the exam.

The Education Minister and her husband accompanied their daughter, Thurayya Fadhilah to collect her SPM result yesterday at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah in Kajang yesterday.

Despite being a Member of Parliament (MP) and a Minister, Fadhlina came as just a proud parent at the school, sitting amongst the crowd of other parents awaiting their children’s SPM results.

In the comments section, many netizens congratulated Thurayya for her achievement and shared how touched they are to see the family being happy and proud.

One commenter said that it doesn’t matter if you’re a Minister or hold any other positions, this is a priceless moment, more so for the eldest child.

Meanwhile, another commenter praised Fadhlina for “choosing to be a parent instead of a Minister” that day by being in the crowd instead of sitting as a VIP on stage.
