Earning a six-figure annual salary seems like a dream for most young working adults. Especially when the task is as simple as driving around for eight hours a day.

Well, this Indonesian start-up called SixTNC just launched in Singapore on June 18, 2017 and the firm says that their drivers can earn a highly-competitive income at SGD$100,000 (approx. RM300,000) per annum, Vulcan Post reported.

SixTNC is ride-sharing app similar to Uber and Grab.

Managing director, James Lee, told the press that he noticed his competitors weren’t paying their drivers that well.

“I have noticed a lot of Uber or Grab drivers work long hours for not a lot of money. We started this so that drivers need to only work eight hours a day.”

That comes down to about SGD$8,300 (approx. RM25,000) a month. Seeing how eight hours a day is just like any typical office hours, how could one possible earn such a high income?

Well, apparently it’s quite easy. It’s called the referral scheme.

Basically, as a driver recommends an individual to join the scheme, they will receive five per cent of the newbie’s income. Even riders can recommend people to join as drivers and receive five per cent in commission.

According to James, if a driver can recruit 30 friends to join SixTNC, and if they all end up earning SGD$150 per day, then getting an annual income of SGD$100,000 is totally possible.

Thousands of Uber and Grab drivers have since shown immense interest in joining this brand new company.

Best of all, SixTNC’s price is pretty competitive compared to Uber and Grab’s.

Vulcan Post did a comparison of prices among these three companies by inputting a similar start point and destination to check on the fares.

Not too bad eh? With a rough SGD$2 (approx. RM6) difference between each brand, consumers may just sway over to this new e-hailing app.

James told the press that SixTNC plans on expanding to other countries around Asia too, such as Malaysia.

So, fellow Malaysians, you can look forward to something new, soon. 🙂
