Last week, President of Russia, Vladimir Putin officially declared war on Ukraine and as of now, the war has not ceased and the number of deaths is continuously increasing. Recently, the final words of a deceased Russian soldier were retrieved read at the United Nations.
Sergiy Kyslytsya, the Ukrainian ambassador to the UN read out the messages, which he said were obtained from the dead soldier’s phone.
“Mama, this is so hard.”
The conversation started when the dead soldier’s mother told him that she was going to send a package to him and asked his whereabouts. He asked what kind of parcel it was and told his mother, “I just want to hang myself now.”
He explained further that he’s not in training sessions anymore but instead, he was in Ukraine where war has taken place and expressed his fear before telling her how hard it really is.
“We are bombing all of the cities, together. Even targeting civilians. We were told that they would welcome us but they are falling under our armored vehicles, throwing themselves under the wheels and not allowing us to pass. They call us fascists.”
And that was the end of the conversation between the fallen soldier and his mother. The way the text messages were retrieved, however, is not disclosed. You can watch the full video below.

According to New York Post, Kyslytsya’s dramatic reading is part of an effort by Ukraine to turn Russian hearts and minds against Vladimir Putin’s invasion. It was also revealed that some Russian fighters claimed that they did not know they were sent to war.

At the same time, Kyslytsya also took the time to slam Putin’s action especially after the latter decided to put Russia’s nuclear forces on high alert. Not only it was madness but he also dubbed it as suicidal.
“If he wants to kill himself, he doesn’t need to use a nuclear arsenal. He has to do what the guy in Berlin did in a bunker in May 1945,” he explained as a comparison to Adolf Hitler’s death.

All lives matter. The war has not only robbed the lives of innocent civilians but also the peace in the world and hopefully, the bloodbath will end soon.
