You can be angry and you can be disappointed, but insulting the leaders of the nation and an entire race of people is still considered a crime.

The Info Roadblock JPJ/POLIS Facebook page took to their profile to showcase comments from netizens that can really get them in trouble with the law, considering the insensitive and insulting nature of their words and the people they’re directing it to.

One of the comments was found during prime minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s Covid-19 situation update yesterday, 6 October.

Another one was found during Health DG, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah’s Covid-19 numbers update.

This netizen wrote, “I hope more and many Malays get Covid-19 and die.”

Such immoral and racist comments only cause tension and disillusions with the racial harmony that we have in our country. Plus, insulting our nation’s leaders is clearly a crime.

We genuinely hope that the authorities look into this and that Malaysians learn that if they have nothing nice to say, it’s better to say nothing at all.

What do you think about this? Let us know in the comment section.
