Many book lovers were disappointed when they heard the KL International Book Fair was being delayed until a later unknown date.

Due to the current Covid-19 situation, the government announced that there will be no mass gatherings of any sort allowed. So, the KLIBF committee has decided to make the book fair digital instead.

According to their Instagram post, this year’s book fair will be fully digitised and you can find them on Shopee here. The book fair will be happening from 25th June till 8th July and since they are on Shopee, you can expect them to give out tons of good deals and vouchers! There will be more than 30,000 books on sale from 140+ booksellers.

The Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair has been around for quite a long time. In fact, it began in 1981 and has been attracting a decent amount of visitors every year (a solid 2 million from 2013 onwards!).

This might be the first book fair in Malaysia that will be done fully online! This is a great move to make and one that surely doesn’t disappoint KLIBF’s loyal visitors!

Although you wouldn’t be able to inhale the smell of the books, will you be “going” to this book fair? Let us know in the comments!
