When you marry someone, you vow to love and care for them in sickness and in health, till death parts you.

One elderly woman in Taiwan is taking this vow seriously by selling flowers to make a living for herself and her elderly husband who is at home and unable to work anymore.

Netizen, 派瑞 Perry Green, took to his Instagram account to showcase a video of the elderly woman while sharing her story with the world.

He wrote, “Have you ever noticed this grandma selling flowers?”

In the video, the 90-year-old woman explained that her 93-year-old husband is at home as he is no longer able to work and make a living for them. So, she sells flowers in an effort to earn money so that they can survive in their old age.

“She comes out every day to sell flowers regardless of the weather conditions,” 派瑞 Perry Green said.

He then asked the elderly woman about her story, to which she also shared the kindness of a bookstore manager that allowed her to sell flowers in front of their shop.

“I’m 90 years old, my husband is 93 years old and unable to come out to work anymore. I have to take care of him. The bookstore manager saw me and let me sell in front of the store. The police don’t bother me anymore,”

“If I don’t work then we won’t be able to make a living,” the elderly woman said.

“Thankfully, the bookstore’s manager is very nice. They let her set up her stall at their front door, which really made her life much easier,” 派瑞 Perry Green added.

He also encouraged those stopping at the Zhongshan MRT station in Taipei, Taiwan, to purchase flowers from the elderly woman for their loved ones.

You can check out the bittersweet video here.

Be right back, we’re heading to Taipei just so we can buy some flowers from her.
