8 Types of Malaysians You’ve Met While Trying To Sell New Or Pre-Loved Stuff Online

Whether you’re running a business or trying to find a new home for your pre-loved belongings, odds are you’ve tried selling something to someone before. And while it’s a convenient way to make some extra cash (some of us have even turned this into a fulltime business), dealing with customers can be… stressful.

Here are some customers or buyers you’ve most probably dealt with before:

1. The ones who always ask “can model ah?”

5A

“Got photo of someone wearing the top?”

Although the size and measurements are all stated, they still ask if you can model the top… then I put measurements for what???

Sometimes after you send them a photo, they ask about your body measurements, weight and everything else too.

2. The ones who can’t make instant payments and ask you to reserve the item(s) first

2

For those of us who are a bit more patient, waiting for a bit isn’t too bad. It only becomes a pain when the buyer takes too long and there are other potential buyers asking about the same item. Some even have the audacity to change their minds at the last minute. UGH.

3. The cheapskates who are always asking for discounts or free stuff

We ourselves have probably been guilty of this while shopping elsewhere but it can definitely be annoying when you’re on the receiving end of this question.

4. When you say “price negotiable” and they suggest a ridiculous price

Or they ask for a further discount on something that’s already very cheap.

When we say “price is negotiable”, it usually means you can ask for a 10 or 20 per cent discount, at most. Don’t go asking to pay RM50 when the item costs RM100! And don’t go asking for a discount on something that’s already very cheap! We’re trying to make a living too. 🙁

5. The customers who leave bad reviews just because the packaging isn’t in perfect condition

3

Scratches and dents on the box or package are often inevitable especially if it’s being shipped by our delivery couriers who have thousands of parcels to deal with each day. What matters is that whatever you ordered arrived safely, unopened and undamaged!

6. “I found someone else selling this at a lower price… Can charge cheaper?”

6

If you found someone else selling it for cheaper, buy from them lahhh.

More often than not, this is one of our customers’ many tactics to try asking for a discount. NOT. HAPPENING. FAM.

7. “Can COD at [insert ulu, far away location here]?”

1

It’s perfectly fine if you don’t want to pay for shipping and prefer to do cash-on-delivery (COD), but don’t assume we’ll drive over 10km to meet you at some ulu, far away place situated in a dodgy part of town just because you live or work near there. We need to pay for petrol too y’know!

8. Those last-minute buyers: “Can deliver by tomorrow ah?”

Ninja Van Cfkl 1805 1584092038 2791 5767 1588731687

We cannot make miracles happen, HELLO. Neither can our delivery couriers unless of course, you’re willing to pay more for next-day delivery.

Our abang delivery and abang riders are always trying their best to get thousands and thousands of deliveries out on time every single day, so cut them some slack, guys! The parcels come from across the globe and locally too so it takes time to sort everything out. It’s definitely not an easy job, but they get it done, rain or shine. What matters is that your package arrives safely and your items are undamaged, right? #nodrama

Well, if you’re someone who needs parcels delivered and want to avoid all the drama of stuff getting delivered late or to the wrong address, make sure you check out Ninja Van!

They’re always trying their best to offer a seamless #nodramadelivery experience for all your logistical needs. Just check out their newest video showing all the drama you could possibly avoid with Ninja Van:

Be honest, you’ve experienced at least one of the situations in the video at least once before, right? Thankfully, Ninja Van tries their very best to avoid such problems but even then, some things like the weather and so forth are out of their control and this can affect deliveries, so be patient okay!

Before you get angry at your abang delivery (or the seller) next time, make sure you read up on their delivery cycle and see how much your package has to go through before it actually arrives at your doorstep:

  1. When an order is placed, the information enters the Ninja Van system.
  2. Shipping details & tracking numbers are then provided to the sender and receiver.
  3. Senders then hand their parcels off to the Ninjas who will scan each parcel (triggering a confirmation alert to the shipper and receiver).
  4. Once parcels are at the sorting hub, they are scanned and sorted through automated intuition which arranges them according to their zones and delivery destinations.
  5. Parcels are then assigned to different drivers and riders according to their zones.
  6. Each parcel is scanned again before leaving the station and an automated message will be sent to receivers to alert them about their incoming delivery.
  7. The drivers and riders then proceed to deliver these parcels right to our doorsteps and we’ll receive another automated message informing that the parcel has been delivered.

Sounds fairly straightforward but a lot of planning and sorting goes into this process. So before you think about complaining next time, think about what your abang delivery and parcels have to go through, aite!

And if you happen to be on the lookout for a delivery service that promises #nodramadeliveries, make sure you give Ninja Van a try! You can visit their Facebook page for more info.
