A Malaysian senior citizen had no choice but to walk home and rush for Friday prayers after his car was blocked by another vehicle that had double‑parked in front of it.
The driver who had double‑parked unfortunately did not leave any contact information or disengage the handbrake, forcing the man to wait patiently before eventually deciding to head home on foot, as he needed to prepare for his Friday prayer obligation.

“My father is a patient man, and that’s just how he is.”
The incident occurred yesterday (10 April) at the Bandar Tun Razak Community Commercial Centre in Kuala Lumpur. Dina Salehuddin shared the incident in a viral post on Threads to highlight the consequences of double parking without leaving contact details.
The man whose car was blocked is Dina’s 73‑year‑old father, who patiently stood by his vehicle, waiting for the driver to return, but to no avail.
In an update, Dina shared that her father’s car was later retrieved and brought home on the same evening.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Dina explained that her father did not honk to get the driver’s attention because the area was close to residential homes, and he did not want to disturb the peace. Despite the inconvenience, he remained calm and did not lash out.
“That’s just how my dad is. In my lifetime, I’ve probably only seen him angry two or three times, and I am 42 years old.”
She added, “His famous words are, ‘Getting angry will not solve the problem, so why bother?’”
Dina also told WORLD OF BUZZ that her brother had to walk back to the area to retrieve the car. According to her brother, the double‑parked vehicle was no longer there by 4 PM, and neither he nor their father ever encountered the driver.
“I guess the viral post helped. Someone commented that they knew the owner and had informed the driver about it,” Dina said.
“Or maybe the driver had finally settled the matter that prompted him to double‑park.”
