How time flies! Since the start of the new year, there have been many events around the Klang Valley that had Malaysians flocking to get their fair share of excitement. As we approach the mid-point of April, here are some events to look forward to that are happening for the rest of the month:
1. Songkran Festival 2018

For those of you who’re missing out on the annual Songkran festival held in Thailand happening from the 13th to 15th April, fret not cause we’ve got a few celebrations of our own in and around KL too! Here are some of a few places that are going all out wet and wild:

2. Viper Tunnel Challenge 2018

The Viper Challenge has been dubbed as Asia’s Biggest Sporting Event Series ever. The obstacle course is planned to test participants’ physical agility and mental strength as they race through the course to the finish line. The world’s first ever tunnel obstacle course, this year’s Viper Tunnel Challenge will see participants racing through KL’s very own SMART tunnel as part of the course.

3. Pulang Mengundi Fundraiser Gig @ Merdekarya

The heartwarming movement that sees Malaysians from all over uniting to get each other home for GE14 has taken the interweb by storm. Taking a cue from them, Merdekarya will be hosting a Pulang Mengundi show to raise funds for those who don’t have the means to get home during the elections. During the gig, all profits from bar sales and money left in the tip jar will be donated to the Pulang Mengundi fund. So if you’re looking for something to do on a Sunday, head on over to Merdekarya for some good music, good beer and do your part in this on-going movement!

4. Lot 10 Cinema Paradisio

That’s right, this popular American pop rock band known for some of Malaysians’ favourite hits including Stop and Stare, Secrets, Apologize, All the Right Moves, Good Life, Counting Stars, and more will be performing live in Malaysia this April!

7. Urbanscapes 2018

Back for its 16th instalment, Urbanscapes 2018 is happening from April to May with massive food, fashion and art fiestas. There will also be numerous workshops available such as terrarium building, tote bag painting, calligraphy, and food styling and photography. Expect an amazing musical line-up as well, with acts including Tame Impala, Rudimental, M83, and more! Urbanscapes entry tickets are FOC, while concert tickets can be purchased online via TicketPro or at Rock Corner outlets.
