For as low as RM230, a group of women from China offered sexual services in Johor via the WeChat and Telegram applications.
Consequently, seven Chinese women were arrested at different apartments around Tanjung Puteri on Monday (29 December 2025) for their involvement in the syndicate.

Seven foreign nationals were arrested for offering sexual services
Their attempt to evade the authorities was uncovered after the Johor branch of the Malaysian Immigration Department (JIM) carried out raids at approximately 9 PM.
Johor JIM director Datuk Mohd Rusdi Mohd Darus said a team of officers from its Enforcement Division conducted the operation following public tip-offs and intelligence gathering. Multiple condoms and lubricants were also found in the bedroom drawers.

âThe simultaneous operations carried out at several separate premises found that all those arrested had abused their social visit passes to engage in immoral activities.”
“The charges imposed ranged from RM230 to RM400 per service and were paid in cash,” Rusdi said in an official statement.

Six witness summonses were also issued
Mohd Rusdi added that initial checks found all seven female suspects, aged between 25 and 41, were detained for various immigration offences. He said they are believed to have committed offences under the Immigration Act 1959/63 and the Immigration Regulations 1963.
All detainees are being held at the Setia Tropika Immigration Depot for further investigation and legal action.
In the meantime, he said six Form 29 summonses, which are witness summonses, were issued during the inspection to help facilitate the investigation.

âJohor JIM urges the public to come forward with information related to illegal immigrants or any unlawful activities involving foreign nationals.”
Rusdi also highlighted that Johor JIM will continue its efforts to curb illegal immigration in the state.
