Yes guys, it’s that time of the year once again!

Apple just had their highly-anticipated September 2017 keynote just a few hours ago, and people are reeling from all the awesome stuff they announced. Here are just some of the few products they announced that caught everyone’s interest.

1. iPhone X

Pronounced as the “iPhone 10”, its all-new design has gotten rid of the iconic home button and now only comprises a screen with the most durable glass that’s fingerprint resistant. The phone is also made of surgical‑grade stainless steel, making it water and dust resistant too! It even has wireless charging!

So, instead of relying on a home button to exit one app and enter another one, you can just do it in a single swipe.

Wait! What about security and fingerprint detection?

Don’t worry, lah! Confirm Apple’s got that covered! The new iPhone X now has Face ID, using face recognition technology to unlock your phone and authenticate!

Another highlight is its new TrueDepth Camera that helps create a precise map of your face for facial recognition. It also makes taking selfies an even cooler experience, since it blurs out the background!

The iPhone X is priced as follows: 64GB for USD$999 (approx. RM4,200) and 256GB for USD$1,149 (approx. RM4,830). These prices are based off U.S. prices, as Malaysian prices for the iPhone X haven’t been officially released on their website yet.

Pre-orders will start on 27th October, while shipping begins on 3rd November.

Check out the complete list of specs here.

2. iPhone 8 and 8 Plus

The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are pretty much upgrades of the iPhone 7. With a new glass back, a wireless charging feature, and a True Tone Retina HD display that adjusts the white balance to match the light around you, this new iPhone definitely didn’t come to play around!

It also comes with an improved 12-megapixel camera that has a new colour filter, a larger and faster sensor, and even optical image stabilisation for photos and videos.

This iPhone also has the same portrait mode features as the iPhone X, sharpening foregrounds and blurring backgrounds, adding that special touch to any selfie you take.

The iPhone 8 is priced from USD$699 (approx. RM 2,940) for 64GB and USD$849 (approx. RM3,570) for 256GB, while the iPhone 8 Plus will start at USD$799 (approx. RM3,360) for 64GB and USD$949 (approx. RM3,990) for 256GB.

iPhone 8 and 8 Plus will be available in the U.S. for pre-orders on 15th September, and ships on 22nd September.

3. The AirPower mat

We’ve been hearing a lot about wireless charging, so does that mean Apple’s coming out with new chargers too? Of course, lah!

Arriving in 2018, the brand new AirPower mat can wirelessly charge not just iPhones, but also the new Apple Watches and wireless AirPods too! So, keep a lookout for this product once it comes out next year!

4. Animoji

This new iPhone feature definitely deserves its own place on the list, cause it’s so cool!

One awesome part about the TrueDepth Camera on the new iPhone X is that it can analyse more than 50 different muscle movements in your face, allowing 12 emojis (or animojis) on your phone to mirror your exact facial expressions! What?!

So now, you can pull faces and talk as a cat, panda, poop and yes, even a unicorn. Plus, you can send these animojis via iMessage!

5. Apple Watch Series 3

So, the new Apple Watch comes with a whole load of improvements, especially for all you sporty people out there looking to maintain your fitness!

The Apple Watch Series 3 has its own built-in workout app that can help you track your jogging, cycling, or any other physical activity, while monitoring your heart rate. It’s waterproof too so you can wear it while swimming!

You can even use the Apple Watch to remind yourself when to exercise, as well as motivate you with its Activity Ring feature. You can monitor your daily fitness goals with this straightforward feature by seeing where you are on the activity ring.

It doesn’t stop there, either! This watch can also allow you to monitor your friends’ progress on their activity ring, encouraging some healthy competition and camaraderie. Pretty cool, right?

Plus, if you opt for the cellular-enabled version, which comes with built-in LTE, you can continue receiving calls and messages, streaming music and using maps without having your phone connected all the time.

Set for a September 22nd release, the Apple Watch Series 3 is priced at USD$329 (approx. RM1,380) for the non-cellular version, and USD$399 (approx. RM1,680) for the cellular-enabled version.
