A 34-year-old age gap doesn’t seem to be an obstacle for this Malaysian couple.
Jasin Wanita UMNO chief, Datuk Zaleha Bujang, 62, has tied the knot with a 28-year-old businessman named Ashraf on 11 September 2020, reported Sinar Harian.
According to Jasin UMNO Youth chief, Dr Akmal, the couple got to know of each other a couple of years ago at a gathering in a former ADUN’s house in Melaka.
After getting to know each other, the couple decided to settle down and build a household. The newly-wed couple will be having their honeymoon in Cameron Highlands, Pahang.
It has been said that Datuk Zaleha was a widow for five years after the death of her husband.
Pictures of the couple went viral last weekend on social media and netizens wished the best of luck and talked about how the age gap of more than three decades does not stop love.
