A Malaysian senior citizen was robbed right outside her house recently, but not before she was tasered by the robber.
In an official statement by PDRM in Johor, police said their department received a report from the elderly resident at approximately 8:06 PM.

“Investigations found that the incident occurred in front of a house in Taman Skudai Baru and at the time of the incident, the victim, who was outside the house, was approached by three suspects riding two motorcycles.”
“One of the suspects grabbed the victim’s handbag while pointing a weapon, suspected to be a taser, and forced the victim to hand over the handbag before a struggle ensued until the victim fell and the suspect fled.”

PDRM said the case is being investigated under Sections 395/397 of the Penal Code for robbery in a group and using a weapon and Section 6(1) of the Explosive Corrosive Substances and Dangerous Weapons Act 1958.
The victim suffered minor injuries on her head and a loss of RM1,500 after the incident which happened on Chinese New Year’s Eve on Tuesday (January 28).
In the statement, PDRM also reminded the public to not expose valuable items in public and told everyone to remain vigilant outdoors.
