34yo M’sian Found Dead After Allegedly Falling into a Water Container in His Home Bathroom

In recent news, a man was found dead after he was believed to have fallen into a water container in a bathroom in an incident at Tumpat, Kelantan.

The Tumpat District Police has since released a statement about the incident.

He had a seizure before falling into the water container

Tumpat District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Khairi Shafie, stated that at 4:01 PM, they received a report about a man found unconscious.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim experienced a seizure, hit his head on the container, and then fell into the water container in the bathroom of his home.

Following the incident, the victim’s body was sent to the Forensic Unit at Tumpat Hospital around 6 PM for an autopsy.

The cause of death was due to drowning

According to Khairi, the autopsy revealed that the cause of death was due to drowning. However, he stated that further investigations are ongoing, and the case is classified as sudden death (SDR).

He’s urging anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the Wakaf Bharu Police Station at 09-7196222 or the Tumpat District Police Headquarters at 09-7257222.

He also reminded the public not to make any speculations and to respect the privacy of the victim’s family.
