According to Berita Harian, a 26-year-old part-time teacher from Malaysia was caught stealing credit cards during a basketball session at a sports club in Japan.
A video shared by Tokyo Tweet shows him rummaging through one of the bags left by the court’s sideline.

The teacher disguised himself to enter the basketball court
At the time of the incident, the sports club in Takatsuki, Osaka, was holding a free activity session for its members.
According to local reports, police revealed that the teacher, identified as Wong, had disguised himself as a resident to enter the basketball club.
“He was arrested on suspicion of stealing credit cards and cash, disguising himself as a local resident to enter the club for the first time,” said the police.
Meanwhile, one of the victims from the sports club stated that he lost his credit card and several thousand yen in cash.

The teacher admitted to stealing credit cards
After getting caught, Wong admitted to taking a few credit cards but said he knew nothing about the missing cash.
“The total loss is estimated to be in the tens of thousands of yen,” the police added.
They also mentioned that similar cases have happened in Takatsuki, and they’re now looking into whether Wong is connected to them.
