Plastic surgery is getting more commonplace all over the world but this 22-year-old girl from Hong Kong warns against doing it for the wrong reasons as she now fully regrets the over 30 procedures she’s had done on herself. And she’s only 22!

According to recent videos released by Berry Ng, China Press reports why she did so many plastic surgery procedures and how much she regrets starting the first one. Apparently, she first started fixing her face when she was just 17 years old because she envied those models but based on her old photos, she already looks gorgeous. We’re all beautiful in our own way!
She said that she saw a beauty centre offering student packages where you only needed to pay HKD799 (RM417) for three injections. However, she was persuaded into spending more than HKD17,000 (RM8,878) when she went to the beauty centre and said that right after, she became addicted to plastic surgery and kept spending money on procedures to be the “perfect beauty”.

In the video, Berry said that she did most of the surgeries when she was about 21 years old and had an ex-boyfriend who was nine years older than her. During this period, she said that she had very low self-esteem and no confidence at all as her boyfriend at that time kept criticising her looks and comparing her with other girls. Fukboi alert!
This triggered her to go on a plastic surgery spree and within 6 months, she did close to 30 procedures on herself, in hopes of getting at least one single word of praise from her boyfriend. By then, she has had almost her whole face done from her forehead, eyes and cheeks to her nose and chin. Sadly, he did not praise her at all and actually found more things to criticise!
Berry said, “At that moment, if he had stopped me and told me that I was beautiful enough, I would have stopped, but he didn’t.”

After she had done all these procedures, her boyfriend was still not satisfied with her. Seeing as there was nothing else to taunt about her looks, he moved on to her breasts and complained that they were too small. Girl, dump him already!
Hence, she went for breast augmentation surgery but when she came out, her boyfriend said that he did not ask her to do the surgery. She said that one of the most heartbreaking things she experienced was when her mother saw her during the recovery period and cried.

That was when she snapped out of it. She finally managed to put a stop to her plastic surgery addiction and put up warning videos where she talked about her experience. After this, Berry said that many girls messaged her and said that they were suffering the same problem too as their boyfriends or partners would often find fault with their looks. They should love you for who you are, not what you look like!
When asked whether she preferred her old look or her current face, she laughed and said that she would much rather go back to looking like her former self, but she does not have the courage to undergo surgery anymore to reverse the procedures she had done. The plucky girl also laughingly said that she does not mind people talking negatively about her.
