Thanks to the massive advertising of ‘perfect-looking humans’ through the media, many people have gone under the knife just to achieve those face and body ‘goals’.

In fact, there are even TV shows solely dedicated to plastic surgery transformations these days such as Let Me In Thailand, a Thai TV show that highlights how people can be changed from an ‘ugly duckling’ to a ‘beautiful swan’.

Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

According to Coconuts, 22-year-old Noppajit Monlin who is a factory worker went under the knife and transformed his appearance into what people would deem a South Korean oppa.

Noppajit apparently had always wanted to change his looks as he constantly had chewing difficulties because of his twisted jaw. Due to his looks, he also felt ashamed and would often shun himself from his colleagues.

He would even eat alone during lunch breaks.

The surgery included correcting his jaw, and modifying his forehead and eyelids. Besides that, the doctors gave him some salivary gland botox injections to fix his excessive drooling as well as skin treatments to clear up his blemished complexion.

After 3 months of recovery, Noppajit’s new face was finally revealed. He looked completely different that even his own mother couldn’t recognise him!

The distraught mother broke down in tears and told the camera,

“I really miss him and I’m not acting.”

As Noppajit went to his mother, he asked, “Mum, do you remember me? Look at me.”

The sobbing lady replied, “Is it you? Is it really you?”

Noppajit’s mother actually had to look for his surgical scars to ensure that it was really him.

During the interview in the show, the young man told everyone that his life felt brand new.

“People say I’m a different person. I feel much better. Before, people said my face was not normal and society didn’t accept me. Now, I have more friends.”

As much as his appearance has changed, Noppajit said that he is still the same person underneath his skin. Noppajit confessed that he is still very much in love with Tob, a transgender woman whom he’s been dating for 3 years.

Tob, 26, expressed her feelings by saying,

“I’m protective of him but I’m not scared of him leaving me. We’ve trusted each other since the beginning.”

Apparently, the couple met on Facebook and just 5 minutes into talking to each other, Noppajit asked Tob for her number. Just three weeks after that, they moved in with each other.

Noppajit lovingly said,

“She took care of me. Even though she’s not a woman, she’s just like one. This woman is the best for me. Although I have a new life now, my heart is the same.”

Awww…

It’s nice to see that Noppajit is able to feel much better after the transformation yet still retain his wonderfully loving self. Hopefully now, he won’t be as shy as before and will be able to socialise more and be confident in himself.
