It is always great to see a fellow Malaysian dazzling the stage in an international arena. Wang Zihui, a twenty-one-year-old Malaysian singer and songwriter, impressed the panel of judges in the Chinese singing competition known as The Coming One, according to Sin Chiew Daily.
The Malaysian’s voice was tremendous enough to score five stars from the judges, according to The Star. She sang a reggae song that she wrote herself called ‘I Don’t Understand, You Don’t Understand’. Wang Zihui received some comments from a few judges who said she was mumbling during the performance, but one of the judges, Stephanie Sun (a major Singaporean singer) defended her by saying that it is a characteristic of the Malaysian accent.
Nevertheless, Wang was applauded for her performance which earned her five stars from six judges. She also divulged that she left her job in order to follow her passion for music. The singer did not attend university but took a culinary course and she is able to cook various food ranging from Oriental to Western cuisines.
