Go big or go home. The roads in Mumbai are closed for 4 days from Friday until Monday (July 12 to 15) to make way for a grand wedding.

The son of the richest man in Asia, Mukesh Ambani, is taking the internet by storm with his lavish wedding, which saw the presence of many huge figures, including political figures from around the world and Hollywood celebrities.

Reuters reported that Mukesh’s son, Anant, is getting married to Radhika Merchant. The pair are both 29 years old. According to the police in India, the wedding is the biggest event of the year and is considered a public event.

The authorities agreed to the road closure despite the hectic traffic in the country.

The wedding kicked off with traditional Hindu practices on Friday, with the weekends reserved for receptions that will see the presence of the rich and famous and public figures. According to the wedding itinerary, a special event for the management and staff of Ambani’s house will be held on Monday, July 15.

Ambani also splurged his wealth on 3 Falcon-2000 jets, which he rented to transport the guests. Over 100 personal jets were also used during the four-day wedding.

In another report by BBC, pop stars like Drake, Lana Del Rey, and Adele are also expected to perform at the wedding. Former British leaders Tony Blair and Boris Johnson also appeared at the grand wedding.
