Let’s be real, every Malaysian is OBSESSED with food, especially when it comes our own local cuisine. Nothing brings us closer together quite like food (and probably football).

Of course, as foodies, we have pretty high expectations of what we eat. So, when you come across those awesome satisfying moments when your food is absolutely perfect, the world seems right again just for a minute.

Here are some of those amazing moments all of us have definitely experienced!

1. When the teh tarik you ordered has just the right amount of sugar

Aneh! teh tarik satu, kurang manis!” you order, hoping the waiter won’t make it too sickly sweet. It’s quite an amazing feeling when you take that first sip of the perfect teh tarik that has just the right amount of sweetness. Ugh, now we want a cup!

Nothing’s more satisfying than breaking a runny egg yolk. That yellow goodness really gives an extra dimension to whatever food you eat it with!

3. Having the perfect amount of powder in your Milo ais

For Milo connoisseurs, it can be hard to find the perfect cup at any old mamak stall since they’re usually a little diluted (or too milky), but when you find that one restaurant that knows exactly how much powder to put, your quest is officially over!

5. Seeing your Maggi mee spring beautifully

There’s nothing quite like seeing those beautiful golden curls spring to life when you help yourself to a fork-full of some hot Maggi mee.

Bonus points if the bread is also super fluffy with just the right amount of crispiness!

Hawkers usually cook noodles so quickly, they sometimes end up accidentally cutting prawns in half from all that aggressive stirring over the hot wok. So, finding a whole prawn in these noodles is definitely a rare gem to come across!

Sigh. All this food talk has made us extremely hungry, wei! Brb, going for lunch now!
