Over the weekend, many Malaysians were enraged with a video that had gone viral.

In the 20-ish second clip, a woman is seen waiting in an elevator when a man goes in. She then reaches for an item that looks like a thermos and empties the hot contents on the man.

The man was shaken up and walked to the other side of the elevator in pain.

According to the footage, this occurred at 9:24 am on 19 April in the lift of an apartment building in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
