It’s a DREAM to have a healthy lifestyle and body but it’s not that easy to achieve them because it needs a tremendous amount of effort and discipline. But as long as you make the effort to try, that’s a good start!

Of course, you have to start the right way too. A woman in Beijing, China recently underwent changes in her skin tone in her attempt to lose weight. Believing that constantly eating carrots will lead to weight loss, she continuously ate carrots for 3 months as a substitute for junk food. That’s a good attempt but the duration might have been too much.

After consuming 200 to 500 grams of carrots per day for 3 months, the woman’s skin has now turned orange, resembling the colour of the vegetable itself!

Is this an example of you are what you eat?

To make her junk food substitute even tastier, she coated the carrots with turmeric powder and fried it! That’s innovative but at the cost of the changes in her skin colour.

She started the diet attempt in July this year and about 3 months later, fear struck when her skin colour became orange and it prompted her to see the doctor. However, she did not buy it when the doctor told her that the carrots she had been eating for the past 3 months were responsible for the changes.

For peace of mind, she asked the doctor to check her liver in case it had malfunctioned.

“The results came back and showed that she has a clean bill of health,” according to a video on shared on Weibo.

Since she was healthy, the doctor did not prescribe any medicine but shared some tips to regain her natural skin colour.

“Rehydrate yourself to increase metabolism and avoid colored food if possible, and your natural skin colour should return within 2 months,” the doctor told her.

A healthy body and weight loss are possible if you do it the right way. There are plenty of videos on YouTube about the right way to lose weight and you can always refer to a dietician.
