48yo Man in Kajang Allegedly Caught Taking Upskirt Video of Teen Girl in a Baju Kurung School Uniform

Viral CCTV footage shows a man allegedly recording an upskirt video of an underage student at a store in Kajang.

The footage shows the suspect standing behind the victim, who was with her mother at the counter. The victim and her mother were making payment, while the suspect fiddled with his phone while looking around the area.

The man was allegedly caught in the act

The suspect then bent down with his phone, allegedly to record an upskirt video of the victim, but his actions were thwarted when a customer at the store caught him in the act.

The customer confronted the man, who left the store immediately after denying that he was taking an obscene video of the underage victim.

The man has been arrested

PDRM confirmed that the 48-year-old suspect, who is a widower with three children, has been arrested. 

The widower has been remanded on suspicion of recording indecent videos and taking photos of a teenage girl at the checkout counter of a store in Kajang. He was arrested by police at 12.15 AM last night, after the incident, which took place at 7.30 PM on April 24, went viral. The victim is 16 years old.

Kajang Police Chief Naazron Abdul Yusof said his department also seized the suspect’s handphone.

The suspect has no criminal record and he is currently being remanded for a day. The case is being investigated under Section 15(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.
