A Malaysian man’s relaxing day by the pool with his family was interrupted when he had to jump into action to save 2 little girls who were drowning.
Taking to his TikTok page, j.e.b.a.t.8.5, who is a policeman, shared how he noticed 2 little girls at the deep end of the hotel pool they were at in Mont Kiara on Sunday (27 April).
He wrote, “I was busy putting a life jacket on my child when I suddenly saw 2 little girls sinking and emerging, sinking and emerging, sinking and suddenly not emerging at the end of the adult slide. In my heart, I told myself, “These kids have great swimming and diving skills“. But, after 3 seconds, I realised something else was happening. They were drowning!”
“With my swimming and diving skills from my PULAPOL KL days, even though I wasn’t listed for the combat diving course, I quickly jumped in and in one breath, I reached the 2 girls. I then grabbed them by the back of their shirts and lifted them up while flexing my biceps.”
He pointed out that many saw the incident, including the lifeguard. However, the lifeguard assumed that it was his kids.
“It doesn’t matter if they’re my kids or whoever’s kids, you jump in and go rescue them!”

But what made the entire situation even more troubling was that the little girls’ parents were nowhere to be seen.
“Whose kids are these? Until the end, I didn’t see their parents calling for them even after I had placed them by the side of the pool. It’s not like I’m going to ask them for money or anything. I just want to ask their parents, “If Tuan or Puan knew or realised that their kids were on the brink of death just now,” he added.
He hopes that the power of TikTok will assist in identifying the little girls’ parents, and requested that their identities be revealed to him in his DMs by anyone who recognises the little girls in his video.
