Imagine spending a few hours lining up and when it’s your turn, you realise that it’s not your actual destination. That was what a woman in China had to go through before finding out she had wasted a couple of hours lining up.

As the Covid-19 cases in China are soaring recently, the citizens are required to go through nationwide swab tests. Recently, in Hangzhou, a woman decided to do her due diligence by getting a swab test at the nearby hospital. As the queue was long, she had to wait for about 2 hours.

However, when it was finally her turn, she realised the queue was not actually meant for the swab test. The line was actually a bunch of customers who were there to purchase roasted chickens and the place was near the hospital!

According to ET Today, the woman, Lena said that as the Covid-19 situation in Hangzhou has worsened recently, she purposely woke up earlier so that she could get herself tested. As she had spent a couple of hours lining up, she eventually decided just to get herself 2 sets of roasted chickens and returned home.

Well, at least her 2 hours were not wasted, right? She returned home with something.

The incident has been talked about on Chinese websites and the people are most curious about the taste of the chicken and wonder if it was really delicious, given the length of the queue and how some people were willing to spend time waiting for it.

“That’s funny. How delicious is the chicken?”

“Remember to maintain social distance.”

“That’s weird. Can’t she smell the chicken in the queue?”

How would you react when you realise you’ve been queuing up at the wrong place for hours?
