Many politicians are turning to make bite-sized content to show Malaysians what they do on a daily basis and to give us a glimpse into their life.

On 7 July, Puchong MP Yeo Bee Yin uploaded a video of herself getting interviewed in the parliament by another person.

It should be noted that this video is of humour and should probably not be taken seriously.

In the more than 1- minute long video, the person behind the camera was asking Yeo Bee Yin why the chairs in the parliament are so big and heavy.

The MP said that it has always been like that and as she herself does not know the answer, she deduces that maybe it’s heavy so that parliamentary members are unable to lift it up and throw it when there is a fight in the parliament.

Other than that, she also revealed that MPs are not allowed to bring hot beverages into the parliament.

“It’s probably because of the same reason. Do you know that in parliaments of other countries, there were instances where some of them threw chairs and shoes?”

“The Malaysian parliament is more polite than that, we just argue a lot with crass and sexist language but no throwing things.”

In the last part of the video, Yeo Bee Yin hopes that the Malaysian parliament will not turn aggressive.

Well, we certainly agree! You can watch the full video here.
