Malaysians are certainly a kepochi bunch when it comes to road accidents – where they like to become bystanders when the accident does not impact them in any form or way.

And this happens a lot, especially when you drive around Malaysian roads.

Revealing this pathetic and ugly side, one Malaysian took it upon himself to whip out his camera and record how Malaysians are more interested in becoming bystanders witnessing a burning car on the other side of the road rather than carrying on with their lives.

In the video, the man who was clearly angry gave a play-by-play of what took place. Here is what he said, “This is a story that’s worth sharing. There is an accident taking place on the right side of the road.”

“There is a burning car on the right lane, the lane that is headed to Kuala Lumpur. The thing is, on the right lane there is no sign of a traffic jam. The lane that is jammed is on the left side, the one heading out of Kuala Lumpur!”

Frankly, this is stupid. It is simply unthinkable as to how the opposite lane can be congested just because those in the opposite lane are interested in what’s happening on the other side of the highway.

Crazy!

Feeling sorry for the driver, netizens viewing the video were in agreement of how Malaysians can be so engrossed in witnessing things that are not related to them to begin with.

It is not as if they can step out of their vehicle and douse the fire right?

Netizens mostly agreed that it is the penchant of others on becoming unofficial reporters and go viral may be the cause of the traffic jam.

“Relax bro. Video recording by unregistered reporters in progress.”

We know that everyone wants to go viral and contribute to society by telling them things that may impact them, but this is a little too much don’t you think?

We sincerely hope that this attitude will lessen amongst Malaysians in the year 2020. Let’s just hope so.
