Taking to social media, netizens living in Terengganu have shared live updates on how bad floods currently are in their state.

With a reportedly 3,434 victims currently evacuated to temporary relief centres (PPS), the Disaster Management Committee secretariat reports that 67 PPS are now opened in Kemaman, Hulu Terengganu, Besut Setiu and Dungun.

As evacuation is underway, more and more videos of people in villages seeking assistance have made its way on social media.

Some have relocated to higher ground, despite non-stop rainfall that took place days before.

According to the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID), water levels at Sungai Chalok, Sungai Setiu, Sungai Nerus, Sungai Temelong, Sungai Marang, Sungai Kemaman, Sungai Tebak and Sungai Dungun has exceeded the danger level.

Let’s pray for the safety of all victims and may assistance reach them in a timely manner.

Stay tuned for more updates.
