Want To Study Overseas? Japan Is Now Offering Scholarships To M’sian Postgraduates!
Calling all Malaysian postgraduate students!
Are you looking for opportunities to student overseas? Well, here’s your chance.
The Embassy of Japan in Malaysia (在マレーシア日本国大使館)Facebook page has announced that The Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship 2022 is ready to start accepting applicants!
In a statement, they wrote, “The Embassy of Japan is pleased to announce that the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarships for the academic year 2023 is now open for applications. Malaysian nationals who would like to pursue their studies in Japan are invited to apply for the scholarship.”
During the term of the scholarship, you will receive a monthly allowance of approximately 143,000 yen (RM4,927.28). You will also be exempted from entrance examination, matriculation and tuition fees at their universities and a round-trip plane ticket will be provided!
All of have to do is make sure that you:
- are a postgraduate (1 and a half or 2 year course from April 2023 or October 2023)
- are under the age of 35 as of 1 April 2023 (born on or after 2 April 1988)
- have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (with minimum CGPA of 3.4) with 16 years of formal education (excluding remove class) – Undergraduates or Master’s students who are in their final year at their respective universities are also eligible to apply.

Interested parties must apply before 4pm on 29 April, 2022 as late submissions will not be considered!
