As an employer, you should be able to gauge, whether or not your employees are happy with you.

Signs of team members becoming disconnected, lacklustre performance, burning out and many more should be an indication that something may be wrong with your way of management.

But what you are about to see in this video, is the sad story of one employee voicing his frustration at his employer for not giving him his salary – for three months!

Shared on Facebook page Penang Kini, here is a video of the outburst.

Clearly perturbed, the video witnessed the man pacing up and down the construction site screaming inaudible words, probably telling his story for the benefit of his site supervisors.

What can be heard, however, were heart-wrenching verses of, “I cannot take it anymore.” and “My wife and kids are crying every day, back in my village.”

The video, which witnessed a total of 166k views, was accompanied by the caption, “A construction worker ran amok at a project site in Tanjong Tokong.”

“Workers there have not been paid their salary for three months.”

“Everyone has commitments to be fulfilled, families to feed. You ask your workers to give their best, but you don’t return the favour by paying their due diligence.”

Come on, it is 2020! Things like this should not happen if employers and the upper management would have a little empathy towards those they supervise.

The video ended with the employee ushered by his supervisor, probably to go meet the site manager and resolve this matter.

Let’s hope that the plight of this man is given much attention from his superiors and pray that incidents like this do not repeat itself in the future.
