“Sorry its not T20 level” – M’sian Bride Finds Wedding Emcee’s Social Media Post Allegedly Mocking Her Ceremony

A recent post has gone viral after a newlywed bride came across her wedding emcee’s Instagram Stories, which allegedly contained negative remarks about her outdoor wedding ceremony.

Taking to Threads, @imsyzzy shared several screenshots of the emcee’s posts about the wedding, in which the emcee revealed that she and her team had laughed about the ceremony while it was taking place.

The emcee also shared how the wedding had turned out to be quite different from what she had expected, with the entire plan seemingly “going out the window”.

She recalled how her feet were already aching from wearing heels and “walking on uneven, stony paths”. During the ceremony, she also found herself wondering where the rostrum, emcee’s station, fans, chairs and event organiser were.

“A team member and I spent the entire wedding laughing! They even told me “this is way below your usual level!'” she wrote.

Despite all the unexpected moments, the emcee clarified that it was not about the “level” of the event, but rather an experience she would never forget.

“At a wedding like this, there was no such thing as a run sheet. The person who was supposed to lead the prayers could leave right after the opening ceremony. They only thought of switching on the fans when the newlyweds were about to sit on the pelamin (wedding dais).

“And that’s not even the best part. One uncle switched on the fan at full speed, sending all the flowers on the wedding dais flying everywhere. The original Bali-inspired wedding concept somehow turned into a traditional Malay-style wedding,” she wrote.

“Sorry my wedding wasn’t at the T20 level”

The emcee further shared that the original plan was to have a “beautiful Bali-inspired wedding venue”. However, upon arriving and realising that the venue was not what she had expected, she was taken aback.

“I was laughing throughout the entire ceremony because WHAT IS THIS? Honestly, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I saw the location, thought, ‘Oh, somewhere around Meru,’ forwarded it to my team, and off we went! On the way there, I was already worried about the weather since it was an outdoor wedding. Hopefully, everything would go smoothly.

“We arrived, and I literally froze. I immediately texted my team, ‘Are we sure this is the right place?’ Plot twist! Our original plan was to have a beautiful Bali-inspired wedding venue. But this? I looked at my team member, and we both knew something was off,” she shared.

Despite the emcee’s remarks, Imsyzzy seemed to take the situation in stride, sharing that she had genuinely enjoyed her own wedding.

“I had such a great time at my wedding. But apparently, my own emcee looked down on it. I get it, sorry my wedding wasn’t at the T20 level like the usual weddings you attend,” she wrote.
