Sugar babies and daddies kind of dating is not something uncommon but somehow, it is still considered a taboo topic. Vietnamese beauty queen, Le Phuong Thao believes that it’s okay for women to be sugar babies with one major condition – don’t interfere with any marriages. On her TikTok account @ahauphuongthau, Thao discussed the money-based relationship and expressed why she thinks it’s better for young women to date older men.
“Older men have achieved stability in their finances and career.”
Thao did not say anything less about younger men but merely pointed out that they are usually busy working to earn a living, and may not have the time to take care of their girlfriends.

Thao added that dating older men increases the opportunity for a stable and long-lasting relationship.
“You don’t have to argue about money,” Thao said.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions and how they see fit to live their lives. However, Thao’s stand on the sugar-dating lifestyle did not sit well with many netizens.
“My comments were misunderstood”
In a Facebook post, Thao shared her interview with Vietnamese media about the matter, saying,
“Can’t people handle the truth that I spoke?”
Thao also said that her comments were misunderstood by many netizens who distorted the definition of “sugar dating” to criticise her. She emphasised that she has no issues with women dating older men because they have the ability to take care of the women, all thanks to their financial and career stability.
“Women should also choose a partner with good ethics, and I don’t support anyone being in a non-consensual 3rd party relationship.”
