Some say the best way to learn something new is to go at it head on.
For 3 year old Malaysian girl Araa, her fearlessness has not only made her confident at riding a scooter but also an example of a valuable lesson that persistence and bravery are skills we need in order to grow.
Magendran Shanmugam and Kala Balachandrun Mithiran are proud parents of two adorable kids, their son Mithi, 6 years old, and daughter, Araadhana, also known as Araa, aged 3.
The family has been creating and uploading social media content since February last year, and their recent video of Araa learning to zoom about on a scooter has gone viral on TikTok with over 383.7k views and 17k likes.
In the 26 second video, Araa can be seen with short hair, falling multiple times while trying to ride her pink child’s scooter while the text on the screen wrote “How it started”.
Later on, Araa seems to be slightly older and much more confident riding her scooter around the house and the text on screen wrote “How it’s going” in reference to her progress that she’s made.
From the video, it seems Araa taught herself how to manoeuvre the scooter and after lots of practicing she even came up with her own braking system where she lets one of her feet drag on the floor to slow down the scooter.
And after her multiple tries, she got her success.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Araa’s father, Magendran said that “Araa’s fearless nature is a standout quality that has helped her grow and developed as a person“.
“She is always willing to try new things and take risks, unafraid of making mistakes or failing. This attribute has allowed her to learn and improve in many ways, making her an inspiration to others.”
Magendran and Kala use their TikTok as a platform to capture and share the funny moments and activities of their children.
They give their kids the freedom to explore and be themselves, with their guidance, of course.
“We feel social media can be a great way to connect with other parents and share experiences, but it’s important to do so in a way that is positive and uplifting for everyone involved.”
This approach allows their kids to express their creativity and personality while also making their content authentic and relatable.
