Darsa Fried Chicken recently went viral after its admin sparked controversy by referring to the Chinese community with “Type” C comments.
DFC has since apologised twice for the matter. In a press conference yesterday (May 10), DFC told the public that the admin had been reassigned after claiming the Chinese community was sabotaging the business.
“The admin did not have enough experience to handle and manage social media. So, we have reassigned her to another department.”
DFC also assured the public that the viral “Type C” comment does not reflect the values held by DFC.
DFC’s chief executive, Mohammad Faiz once again, apologised to those who were affected by the comment and promised that history will not repeat itself. As for the admin job, Faiz said DFC has since hired a more experienced social media team.
DFC also said that it was never their intention to cause a controversial debate online with the “Type C” comment.
The “Type C” comment started when the previous admin responded to a customer’s question about the pricing. The admin blamed and accused the Chinese community of sabotaging the new business.
We’re glad to see the management team handling their 1st crisis in the business effectively.
