Leading a team is no easy task, so the President of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) is ready to pay A LOT for the best coach to train Harimau Malaya.

In a recent press conference, the Deputy President of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mahadi revealed that FAM is willing to pay as high as RM200,000 to the best coach who could lead Harimau Malaya.

Yusoff made it clear that money is not an issue.

“What’s more important is that the coach can bring Harimau Malaya to a higher level. We want a coach who can take us to another level.”

Yusoff also said that FAM is willing to pay a high amount as long as the coach is qualified to train Harimau Malaya to be even better.

“If the coach is paid RM100,000 a month but can’t go anywhere, we might as well pay a salary of RM200,000 a month if the coach can take Harimau Malaya further.”

Yusoff added that he was well aware that FAM has to spend to get good results.

As of now, FAM does have a name in mind – Park Hang Seo – a South Korean football manager who was recently managing the Vietnamese Football Team.

Despite being on FAM’s radar, FAM will have to get ready to pay a higher salary than what Kim Pan Gon (Harimau Malaya’s former coach) earned.

Park previously earned around RM218,000 a month with the Vietnamese Football Club.

Yusoff, however, said that FAM has yet to contact Park as the party is still considering a few factors.

To the football enthusiasts, do you have any names in mind?
