Workers claim they took the items for personal use

According to the video, a man claimed that the vegetables were used as ingredients in the restaurant’s dishes to be served to customers.

The incident has since sparked outrage, with some of the women involved claiming that the vegetables taken from the bin were only for personal use.

Following the incident, the restaurant owner appeared on TikTok to deny the accusations, stating that the act was sabotage by irresponsible individuals.

The restaurant was closed when the authorities visited

Meanwhile, Johor’s Health and Environment Committee Chairman, Ling Tian Soon, confirmed that further action would be taken to address the issue and ensure that the proper steps are followed in response to the situation.

He mentioned that the restaurant was closed on December 16 when enforcement officers paid a visit and made another attempt to visit again yesterday (December 17).

The officers also mentioned that they knew the spot where the vegetables were thrown away, and it seemed like a lot of people went there to pick them up.
