There’s a reason why a movie is restricted to audiences with a certain age limit. In Malaysia, Alien: Romulus is limited to those aged 16 and above, so kindly avoid bringing your kids to the horror flick!

However, a pair of parents in China brought their 8-year-old kid to the theatre to watch Romulus. The poor kid was terrified and frightened by the movie, so much so that he had to be hospitalised for a check-up and examination.

The kid said he felt uncomfortable watching Romulus on the big screen.

The parents, however, believed that the management of the cinema should compensate for the hospital examination fee.

According to Guang Ming Daily and Sina, the cinemas in China don’t restrict patrons of any age from entering the cinemas. The patrons solely make the decisions. However, the parents of the kid said that the cinemas shouldn’t show movies unsuitable for children.

So, they didn’t only expect the cinemas to refund the ticket fees but also the medical expenses for their frightened kid.

In America, Alien: Romulus is rated R, which means children under 17 must be accompanied by their parents or guardians.

To the fans of horror flicks, what do you think of Alien: Romulus?
