Chocolate snow? Seems like a childhood dream come true!

This dream kind of came true in a little town in Switzerland.

However, far from the fantasy part, the snowing of chocolate actually resulted from the malfunction of a chocolate factory. The factory is owned by Lindt & Sprüngli, a famous Swiss-chocolate maker founded in the year 1895.

The company said that there was a minor defect in their cooling ventilation for the line of roasted “cocoa nibs”. These cocoa nibs consist of fragments of the cocoa beans, the basis of chocolate, according to Independent.

Along with the howling wind, the cocoa powder spread all around Olten, a town in between the cities Zürich and Basel. The fine cocoa dusting also covered the surrounding area of the chocolate factory.

According to the company, one car was even lightly coated with the cocoa powder! Can you imagine waking up and seeing your car covered with cocoa nibs? Must be a once in a lifetime experience.

The company offered to pay for any cleaning needed for the car, but the party has yet to take up the offer. Chocolate covered car sounds like a cool flex after all.

The broken ventilation system has since been repaired, and factory production has resumed. The company also added that the particles were totally harmless to people and the environment.

What do you think about this? Would you like chocolate snow in Malaysia as well?
